Marilyn Mosby: Celebrating the Legacy of a Modern Day Heroine

For over a year, I've collaborated with Baltimore's former State’s Attorney, Marilyn Mosby. During her five-year struggle for justice, she was unjustly equipped with an ankle monitor for a year, despite deserving accolades for her significant contributions. Sadly, many, including members of the Black community, failed to grasp the complexities surrounding her case. Mosby is not a criminal; the government’s actions against her were unwarranted. Influenced by Donald Trump's desires, Mosby faced prosecution for holding accountable those who upheld the law. Her diligent efforts in the wake of Freddie Gray’s tragic death ignited justified outrage in Baltimore. A brilliant attorney, she led initiatives that safeguarded the innocent and prosecuted police corruption. Despite facing severe legal repercussions—including home arrest and personal losses—she recently shed her ankle monitor while awaiting a favorable appeal. A recent event honoring her courage, led by community leaders, showcased the support she has from those who appreciate her relentless fight for justice.
