On August 9th, Detroit buzzed with vibrant energy as the city gathered for Marshall's Good Stuff Social Club, an all-encompassing experience centered on purpose, passion, and the empowerment of Black women. Held at BasBlue and orchestrated by Amber Lewis, founder of Social N The City, the event was intentionally crafted, featuring sessions that nurtured the mind, body, finances, and creativity.The day commenced with an enlightening session from Vivian Tu, the financial expert behind Your Rich BFF. She compassionately illuminated pathways to financial recovery, detailing two effective strategies for debt management: the snowball and avalanche methods. The snowball method emphasizes eliminating smaller debts for motivation, while the avalanche method prioritizes high-interest debts to save money over time.
