Movie “Voltron” on Amazon MGM Studios Adds Rita Ora, John Kim, and Sterling K. Brown

In addition to Daniel Quinn-Toye and Henry Cavill, who were previously revealed, Sterling K. Brown, Rita Ora, and John Kim have been cast in the Voltron film from Amazon MGM Studios. Using a script he co-wrote with Ellen Shanman, Rawson Marshall Thurber is directing.
Although the plot is unknown, Thurber sent Voltron fans a video greeting during VoltCon in which he said: “I want to make sure that we stay true to the heart and the spirit of Voltron. In this film, we’re going to be introducing an entirely new generation of pilots. We’ve reimagined Voltron for the live-action world, but we’re going to stay true to … those iconic elements that you love, that I love. And I’m so excited to share it with you.”
The film is produced by David Hoberman of Hobie Films, Bob Koplar, Thurber, and Todd Lieberman through Hidden Pictures.
Sterling K. Brown joins the cast of Voltron
Brown, a three-time Emmy winner and Oscar contender, most recently costarred with Jeffrey Wright in American Fiction, produced by Amazon MGM. He will executive produce and feature in the drama series Paradise on Hulu in January.
