Justin S. Kinchen, classical violinist and jazz trumpeter, is returning to his hometown to perform with the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra.
Kinchen, an up-and-coming musician and composer, is slated to join the ISO for an afternoon of music exploration at 3 p.m. on March 9 at the Schrott Center for the Arts. Kinchen is one of several guest artists invited to perform “Limelight: A Conversation with Sound” under the direction of Maestro Matthew Kraemer.
“Limelight: A Conversation in Sound” will feature a variety of musical genres, including classical, jazz and contemporary. Kinchen will flex his musical talents during the performance by not only playing violin, trumpet and piano but also singing and conducting the orchestra, according to a press release. The performance will also include unreleased music from two of Kinchen’s albums, “Out at Sea” and “Yours Truly.”
