A luhya man, Austine Wekesa from Lung’anyiro, Kakamega reveals how his life was like small hell since his father died at nine years of age. He claimed that he has never seen his mother, that his mother died while giving birth to him. He says, “my father was forced to marry another woman, who is my step mother so that she could raise me up.” Austine further disclosed how his step mom could deny him food while his father was away for work. She could sometimes chase him out of the house at night.
