The Equal Business Opportunity Program Report details efficacy of the race and gender specific equal business opportunity program. Highlights from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024 include: $85 million in proposed spending with black and brown owned firms; a $13 million or 18% increase over Fiscal Year 23. $98 million in proposed spending with women owned firms; a $59 million or 151% increase over Fiscal Year 23 $44.8 million paid to MBE and WBE subcontractors; a $6.6 million or 17% increase over Fiscal Year 23. 9% average proposed subcontract participation for black and brown owned firms. 7% average proposed subcontract participation for women owned firms. 62% of contracts completed in FY 24 met or exceeded MBE market availability. 87% of contracts completed in FY 23 met or exceeded WBE market availability.Questions about the report may be directed to BAO@nashville.gov.
