N.J.’s African American Chamber named national chamber of year at Black Business Conference

The African American Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey was recently recognized as the National Black Chamber of Commerce of the Year at the 124th National Black Business Conference. John Harmon, center, accepts the award. The national event, held in Atlanta, was sponsored by the National 8(a) Association, a nonprofit whose mission is to provide education and guidance for all aspiring, current and graduate 8(a) businesses. CEO John Harmon was thrilled to receive the honor, saying it shows the chamber is a key player in the business community. “This recognition, coupled with our Accreditation with Distinction as a statewide chamber from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, signifies that our team of professionals at the AACCNJ has built an organization whose mission has made recognized as best in New Jersey and nationally,” he said.
