On Saturday, April 26, over 50 local leaders and program directors met at the Hampton Inn in Monroeville for the 5th Annual Achieving Greatness "What’s Going On?" Community Forum. Inspired by the legacy of Marvin Gaye and fueled by raw honesty, this year’s gathering tackled some of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County’s most urgent concerns. The most discussed issue? Domestic violence, sexual abuse, sex trafficking, and the invisibility of missing women and children of color. Other hot topics included the Trump administration, youth challenges, the upcoming mayoral race, and economic inequality. The event fostered heartfelt conversations and actionable ideas, backed by sponsors like UPMC, Bowser of Monroeville, B-PEP, and more. Special thanks to Angela Thompkins for lunch—her chili? Unanimously declared the best ever.
