In a recent interview on the Dan LeBatard show, Celtics legend Paul Pierce took credit for LeBron James‘ move from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Miami Heat back in 2010. Pierce claimed that his reputation of “breaking wills” caused James to seek help in Miami after Pierce’s Celtics team beat him the previous year. Pierce confidently stated that his Celtics team, though not as skilled as the current roster of the defending NBA champions, knew how to break teams mentally. He emphasized that they would turn games into bar fights, focusing on body blows rather than finesse. He said; ‘It’s damn close,’ Pierce opened. ‘I ain’t gonna lie, this team is really good.
