Hosted by Oak Park Brewing Co., this lively festival transformed Fourth Avenue into a bustling block party featuring diverse food vendors, live performances, and over 30 breweries nationwide.Described as California's largest Black beer festival, it aims to highlight Black brewers and brands while embracing beer enthusiasts from all walks of life. Initiated in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic, organizers sought innovative ways to foster community safely.Rodg Little, festival organizer and co-owner of Oak Park Brewing Co., reflected on the event's growth, emphasizing the brewery’s mission of inclusivity centered around beer. The significance of Theodore Mack Sr., a trailblazer among Black brewery owners, resonates throughout the festival, symbolizing empowerment and opportunity.Alongside renowned brewers, local artists and businesses participated, enriching the event. As dusk fell, the ambiance resonated with camaraderie, transforming the festival into a heartfelt celebration of community and belonging.
