Jimmie Wilson, before the sculpted physique he possesses today, was influenced by his church-going grandparents in the Bay View district during the late '60s. Back then, childhood meant creative exploration outdoors. This early love for fitness and community led him, alongside his wife, Futaba Takashima, to establish Physique Magnifique in San Mateo County's South City.Having worked at McDonald’s as the teenager known for his impressive 16-inch arms, Wilson's aspirations blossomed in a local gym. Overcoming childhood asthma inspired him to strength train, ultimately leading to his victory in the Mr. USA National Bodybuilding Contest in 1992, where he met Futaba.Together, they created a nurturing atmosphere, opening their gym to at-risk youth, emphasizing respect and personal growth. Physique Magnifique became a cornerstone in South San Francisco, leaving a lasting legacy in the community by fostering health and mentorship for future generations.
