Police Identify Victim Of Fatal Barre Denis Shooting

Saint Lucia police have identified the victim of Monday’s fatal shooting at Barre Denis, Castries, as Troy Albert of the same community. At about 8:15 pm, the CID received a report of a deceased male with apparent gunshot injuries. Emergency personnel from the Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) Headquarters in Castries rushed to the scene after receiving a call for assistance. However, the thirty-five-year-old was pronounced dead. People in the area reported hearing a barrage of gunfire and discovered Albert lying on the road. He had sustained multiple gunshot injuries. Saint Lucia has so far recorded fifty homicides in 2024.
