Police Probe Shooting of Vincentian National

Police responded after learning of a shooting incident at Water Works Road, Castries, at about 11:45 pm on Sunday.
Details are still unclear. However, reports indicate that an unknown assailant shot a Vincentian national in the leg.
It was the second shooting incident in the area, with the first being fatal.
On Sunday, at about 11:15 am, the sound of rapid gunfire echoed through the community, leaving a male individual dead.
Police have identified the deceased as 43-year-old Vernon Auguste, alias ‘Fat Dog’ of Bois Patat, Castries.
The country has recorded 73 homicides for the year.
While police have arrested no suspects in both incidents, investigations continue.
