Property tax relief is here!

Contributed The long-awaited property tax relief program is open for applications! If you qualify (by residency in Cincinnati, income level, and owner-occupancy of a 1-4 unit building), you can receive funds from the City to help you pay delinquent property taxes. “Property taxes in many of our neighborhoods have skyrocketed due to the formula that the state uses to calculate taxes. We want to make sure that our residents do not lose their homes,” said Vice Mayor Jan-Michele Lemon Kearney whose motion led the administration to create the HomeSafe Program. “I want to thank Mayor Aftab Pureval and his Chief of Staff Keizayla Fambro for their leadership in this effort, and Councilmember Mark Jeffreys for his support in creating the program,” added Kearney. “And by the way, Hamilton County also has a property tax relief program that was created by Hamilton County Commissioner President Alicia Reece.” To find out if you are eligible and to apple, go to https://choosecincy.com/homeowner-renter-assistance/homesafe-property-tax-relief/ or call Vice Mayor Kearney’s office at (513) 352-5205.
