Many organizations, including Mozel Sanders, St. Rita’s and Edna Martin gave back to the community for the holidays. Here are some photos from Thanksgiving weekend:
Edna Martin Christian Center
The Edna Martin Christian Center, located on E. 25th Street in the Martindale Brightwood neighborhood held their free Annual Thanksgiving Dinners recently at their location. Volunteers helped to prepare and distribute hundreds of hot meals to either drive thru and pick-up inside for over two hours.

Mozel Sanders Foundation
The Mozel Sanders Foundation held their 51st Annual Thanksgiving Dinners project on Thanksgiving Day. This year there were 16 different locations where anyone would be able to receive a full Thanksgiving meal for free. The give-a-way was projected to distribute 10,000 meals involving thousands of volunteers.
