Staff Report Stockton Kings head coach Lindsey Harding, who led the NBA G-League team to the best record in the Western Conference, is joining the Los Angeles Lakers as an assistant, according to reports. Harding, 40, was the first Black woman to lead a G-League team. Stockton finished the 2023-24 season 24–10. She was subsequently named G-League coach of the year. She is the first head coach in Stockton Kings history to win the award and made history as the first woman so recognized. From 2019 and 2023, Harding spent four seasons with the Sacramento Kings as an assistant coach/player development coach. She was a full-time assistant during the 2022-23 season.
