Physicians, Public Health Officials, Clergy and Advocates to Explore Establishing a New Normal on Black Health& New York, NY – Rev. Al Sharpton, Founder and President of the National Action Network (NAN), will convene a panel at the NAN Annual Convention this month to explore how Black America can overcome the myriad health challenges, barriers, and inequities still prevalent across the United States. The panel recognize the ongoing fight for healthcare equity, from access to reproductive health and organ transplant equity to the need for expanded healthcare coverage.   This year’s panel features an array of public health officials, physicians, advocates, and clergy to discuss these challenges as well as a path forward. Rev. Sharpton has tapped Al B. Sure!, recording artist and Executive Chairman of the Health Equity in Transplantation Coalition (HEiTC); Debra Fraser-Howze, Founder, Choose Healthy Life; and Rev. Jacques Andre DeGraff, New York Clergy Leader, Choose Healthy Life to co-moderate the panel.
