San Francisco — The San Francisco Black Film Festival (SFBFF) proudly returns this June for its 27th iteration, celebrating four days rich in narratives, celebration, and cultural exchange, all through the vision of Black filmmakers both from the Bay Area and beyond. Scheduled from June 19 to June 22 at various locations throughout San Francisco, SFBFF 2025 features a vibrant array of films, including powerful documentaries and hilarious comedies. This year's theme focuses on honoring the profound richness and diversity inherent in Black culture.The festival commences on Thursday, June 19, at the Delancey Foundation Theater, highlighted by a meet-and-greet with acclaimed actor Danny Glover. Furthermore, attendees will engage in a post-screening discussion with filmmakers, including Kevin Epps of “If We Don’t Work.” Cree Ray, Executive Director, expressed her enthusiasm about honoring her family’s legacy through SFBFF. Additionally, the festival brings back its Third Annual Comedy Night, headlined by Tammy Tea Love, alongside significant screenings on June 21, including “Bam Bam: The Sister Nancy Story.”
