Following this, Combs' defense wrapped up without presenting any witnesses. In typical criminal trial fashion, Combs' attorneys sought to dismiss the charges, claiming insufficiency of evidence, with a ruling pending from the judge. Combs has remained in federal custody without bail since his September arrest, having pleaded not guilty. Witness testimonies included two former girlfriends, one of whom revealed feelings of coercion during sexual encounters. While the defense maintains these were consensual, they face significant challenges. As Combs actively engaged in his defense, he received a warning from the judge for gesturing toward the jurors, and jurors were shown extensive video evidence throughout the trial.
