Sorority to celebrate 90 years of educational excellence

ContributedNational Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa Inc. – Sigma Chapter will be celebrating 90 years of educational excellence on Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Embassy Suites – Blue Ash at 6 p.m.The National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa Inc is a professional organization of women in the field of education. The three point program- Y. E. S ., which stands for Youth, Education and Service, is the foundation of the organization.Sigma Chapter was founded on Nov. 10, 1934 and is the second oldest chapter in the Midwestern Region. During Sigma’s 90 years of educational service, there have been many great accomplishments. Some accomplishments are as follows: Carnival on Wheels, Children Theatre, Artist Hour, Teach-A-Rama, Recognition Luncheon, Xino’s (an organization for high school girls), Kudo’s (an organization for high school boys) and recently KOT, an organization for aspiring teachersThe public is invited to join us in this momentous occasion.
