Southern University's Collaboration with Getty Images: A New Era in Archive Digitization

Getty Images has recently collaborated with Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to digitize myriad historical documents and photographs vital to the institution's legacy, as reported by the student paper, SouthernDIGEST. This endeavor was facilitated by Getty's HBCU Photo Archive Grant Program, which has benefited nine historically Black colleges and universities since its inception in 2021, aiding in the preservation of delicate archival materials.
