While prominent Saint Lucian cricketers such as Qiana Joseph, Johnson Charles, and Ackeem Auguste gain attention for their on-field prowess, Yasmine St Ange is establishing her legacy behind the scenes. A former captain of the national team and Windward Islands player, St Ange has transitioned into managerial roles after a successful playing career spanning 16 regional matches. With an MSc in kinesiology and a BSc in sports science from the University of the West Indies, she is also a practicing sports psychologist and a physical education teacher at Castries Comprehensive Secondary School.
This summer, St Ange is managing the Windward Islands Under-19 Women’s team, the West Indies Under-19 Women’s team, and the West Indies Academy Women’s team. Her insightful comments on the Windward team's challenges highlight the importance of strategic development and team culture. St Ange’s recent appointment with the West Indies reflects her unique expertise in blending operational leadership and youth development. She looks forward to further supporting regional cricket and nurturing athlete growth both on and off the field.
