Sudan: Facing the Globe's Most Significant Humanitarian Emergency

SUDAN – As Sudan grapples with the world’s most severe humanitarian crisis, its citizens continue to suffer the repercussions of global inaction, claim NGOs and the UN, with the civil conflict now in its third year. On Tuesday, the UK hosted a meeting in London with ministers from 20 nations aimed at revitalizing halted peace negotiations. Unfortunately, these diplomatic efforts frequently lose momentum amidst other global emergencies like the conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza. Two years after violence erupted in Khartoum, RSF assaults on refugee camps in Darfur have resulted in widespread devastation, further complicating the plight of Sudan's 51 million inhabitants.
