A fourteen-year-old male pedestrian was among three individuals who sustained injuries in two separate road incidents. The incidents occurred on Friday and Saturday. The teenage pedestrian was struck by a bicycle at La Caye, Dennery, on Friday, resulting in injuries to him and the rider. Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) emergency personnel responded, treated the rider, and transported him to a medical facility. The pedestrian was transported via private means before the arrival of the ambulance. Fire service personnel also responded to a motor vehicular incident at Rodney Bay on Saturday. On arrival, they found an unconscious male individual in the driver’s seat of a vehicle. The emergency crew extricated the victim and transferred him to the ambulance. An assessment revealed lacerations to the head. The responders treated and transported him to a medical facility for further medical care.
