Ten people received medical attention after a minibus carrying fourteen passengers ran off the road and down a slope at Mon Repos, Micoud. The incident occurred on Sunday. Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) spokeswoman Stacy Joseph said the Micoud Fire Station received a call for assistance at 10:50 am. “Upon arrival at the scene, the firefighters discovered several passengers who were standing around and complaining of pain in different parts of their bodies,” Joseph stated. She disclosed that the emergency responders provided medical care and transported ten people to a medical facility for further treatment. The SLFS spokeswoman said the victims were in stable condition at the time. Before the Easter holiday weekend, the fire service issued a road safety appeal to citizens.
