Texas’ abortion ban has created life-threatening situations

(UNT-Dallas) – The closest state to Texas where abortion is allowed is New Mexico. From North Dallas, the nearest emergency room in New Mexico is six to seven hours away. Josseli Barnica, 28, waited 40 hours to get the health care that she needed. Neveah Crain, 18, did not get it after visiting multiple emergency rooms and more than 12 hours. These were preventable. Several Democrats have openly disagreed with Ted Cruz and other Republican lawmakers.
