Western Union was in our rear view mirrors and Cash App looked like it was the solution for people trying to send and receive cash as quickly as possible. No longer did we have to physically go to a market, convenience store – or worse yet a payday loan operation – and complete the paper work or pick up the red phone to send and receive money for emergencies involving a person in need of quick cash. Cash App appeared to be a nearly ideal solution to the money wiring dilemma and hundreds of millions got on board.
