The Commission on Court Appointed Attorneys (CCAA) is seeking public comment.  The CCAA is requesting community members to offer comments on Criminal Rule 6.1-Capital (Death Penalty) Rule of Criminal Procedure. The proposed changes to update Criminal Rule 6.1, the state’s capital rule of criminal procedure, was authorized for release during the July meeting. The CCAA intends to submit its final recommendations to the Indiana Supreme Court for consideration following their next quarterly meeting on Sept. 18.  Community members may review proposed changes here. Public comments are due by Aug. 9 and may be submitted to information@pdcom.in.gov. For more information, visit in.gov/publicdefender.
