The domestic violence case involving Gervonta Davis has been officially dismissed. Nearly two months following the prominent boxer’s charges of assaulting the mother of his two children, a representative from Miami-Dade County court confirmed the dismissal on Tuesday. The rationale behind this decision remains unclear. Attempts to reach Davis’ attorney and the prosecuting team for statements have yet to yield responses. The incident leading to the charges occurred when the alleged victim informed Doral Police that Davis had struck her during a confrontation on Father’s Day. Following a heated verbal dispute, she claimed that Davis became aggressive while she was attempting to pick up their children. She reported that he slapped her on the right side of her face and struck her on the back of the head while she was retrieving their daughter from the back seat. The altercation reportedly resulted in a minor cut inside her lip. Since his arrest, Davis has chosen not to publicly address the matter.
