The View at the Morne': A Transformative Chapter for Saint Lucia's Community Tourism

Saint Lucia celebrated the grand reopening of "The View at the Morne," formerly Morne Layby, on Tuesday. Overlooking Castries, this renovated landmark symbolizes resilience, government dedication, and sustainable tourism. The center now features 21 vendor booths, modern amenities, and scenic views. Permanent Secretary Donalyn Vittet highlighted its significance for both tourists and the community. Supported by the Caribbean Development Fund, which invested approximately US$613,000, the facility aims to enhance economic activities and promote community-based tourism throughout the region.
