Now in its 40th season, The Winston-Salem Theatre Alliance was founded by director Fred Gorelick in 1983 and began producing “showcase” productions to show his students’ work to the public. With Gorelick’s original vision and current Artistic Director Jamie Lawson’s energy and tenacity, the result is a community theatre featuring high-caliber performances.
Previously housed on Northwest Boulevard, Theatre Alliance now has a professional and intimate theatre at 650 W. Sixth Street and includes a main stage on the lower level, as well as a black-box theatre on the upper level.
Fans of Theatre Alliance know that they can expect cutting edge drama, top-notch musicals, and cult classics, all performed with the professionalism of a Broadway performance, staying true to their mission: to inspire, transform and unite the people of the Triad through a broad range of unique, diverse, and unconventional theatrical experiences.
One of their most popular previous shows is “Million Dollar Quartet.” The story of four famous musicians, the rock and roll music of the era, and the amazingly talented cast made this show a fan favorite.
Now they’re bringing it back with a holiday version that is sure to welcome another sell-out crowd to kick...
