"Reclaiming Our Legacy: Unshakable Roots in America's Narrative"

My grandfather's cousin, Lieutenant Colonel Howard Lee Baugh, was a member of the 99th Pursuit Squadron, the first Tuskegee Airmen unit. This month marks the 84th anniversary of its activation. A life-sized bronze statue honors Baugh and his fellow airmen at the Black History Museum in Richmond, Virginia.
