HBCU$™, a network dedicated to fostering alumni contributions and wealth accumulation to tackle funding inequalities at historically Black colleges and universities, is set to launch on May 1. Founded by Dorsey West, an alumnus of Tennessee State University, it offers a complimentary online marketing platform for HBCU alumni and student-run businesses. These entrepreneurs will contribute a portion of their additional earnings to the college of their choice. “Given the severe budget cuts, HBCUs must seek enhanced support from both alumni and the private sector,” noted West.
