Three decades ago, the United Black Association (UBA) spearheaded the establishment of the African American Cultural Resource Center (AACRC) at the University of Cincinnati. Since its inception, prominent figures like Harlan Jackson, Reginald Brazzile, and Byron Stallworth have served as presidents. In response to recent limitations imposed by President Trump’s Executive Order and Ohio Senate Bill 1, former UBA members and student leaders have united to launch a new nonprofit. Their aim is to raise $500,000 for essential AACRC programming, which faces disruption due to these legislative changes. The newly established Cincy Cultural Resource Center Foundation is exploring an off-campus location for the African American Resource Center. This initiative reflects a commitment to support students through programming, scholarships, and safe spaces, as outlined by leaders like Stallworth. The Foundation's focus is fostering leadership and community involvement among students. For further details and to donate, visit: http://www.thecincyculturalresourcecenterfoundation.org.
