Several Babonneau residents had their water supply disrupted due to acts of vandalism. The residents, several of whom live in Garrand,  found that some malicious individual or individuals had severed their pipelines. Upon receiving the report, the Water and Sewerage Company Inc. (WASCO) dispatched crews to reconnect the affected residents. By Saturday evening, the crews had completed nineteen connections. The company had announced repairs to a section of the raw water pipeline between the John Compton Dam and the Theobalds Water Treatment Plant in Ciceron that began on Friday, March 1. WASCO estimated completing the repairs in 48 hours. As a result, all consumers supplied by the northern network would have experienced a service interruption. However, WASCO’s Hill 20 system supplies water to Babonneau. As a result, the community was unaffected by the service interruption caused by the repairs to a section of the raw water pipeline between the John Compton Dam and the Theobalds Water Treatment Plant in Ciceron. & & & The article Vandalism Disrupts Water Supply To Babonneau Residents is from St. Lucia Times.
