Republican incumbent Victoria Spartz retained another term in Indiana’s 5th Congressional District in the House of Representatives race.With 98% of Indiana polls reporting at the time of this writing, Spartz secured 56.6% of the vote.“Last night, the American people sent a resounding message that they are tired of lawlessness, radicalism, elitism, identity politics, open borders, failed economic policies and a government that is not serving them,” Spartz said in a statement.Democratic challenger Deborah Pickett garnered 38%. of the total vote.Independent Robby Slaughter and Libertarian Lauri Shillings secured 2.7% of the total vote each. Originally from Ukraine, Spartz brought an economic outlook to her role, previously underscoring her woes over government spending.
