The title track from his penultimate album before his untimely death in 2006, Hill was now the only remaining member of the iconic Two Sevens Clash era lineup. On “Humble African”, Hill is longing for peace and unity for all humanity, delivering his heartfelt message to the world with his unique tone of voice and phrasing. Uplifting and sombre in equal measure, this hypnotic riddim, produced Lynford ‘Fatta’ Marshall and Colin ‘Bulby’ York of Fat Eyes fame, with its syncopated syn drum pulsating throughout, really allowing the listener to contemplate and meditate on Hill’s poignant Rasta lyrics.
