West Dallas Multipurpose Center receives $1 million in federal funding for vital community resources

(Special to The Dallas Examiner) – U.S. Congressman Marc Veasey presented the city of Dallas with a $1 million appropriation on Wednesday for facility upgrades at the West Dallas Multipurpose Center. This funding will support significant center improvements, including the establishment of a Women, Infant and Children clinic including the reconfiguration of the workspace and enhancements to connectivity between the West Dallas Branch Library and the center. The facility also serves as a respite center during inclement weather. “The West Dallas Multipurpose Center has been a vital resource for this community for decades and with this funding, we will ensure it remains part of the community for decades more. I am proud to support such a meaningful investment in the future of West Dallas,” Veasey expressed with excitement.
