Beginners, seasoned professionals and everyone in between are invited to test their skills in canoe and kayak races across Central Indiana.&
Featuring paddling, live music and fun for paddlers of all skill levels, the White River Paddle Days and Festival Races returns June 14-16.& The three-day festival is making a summer comeback with participating locations in Daleville, Indianapolis and Noblesville, the White River Alliance announced in a press release.
The event welcomes racers of all skill levels and participants can choose between canoe, tandem kayak or solo kayak categories. The races span 6.5-7 miles down the White River and finishing times average about an hour.
The White River Alliance provides boats with registration, racers need only bring their “competitive spirit.”
For those who are not racing, the festival will have food and drinks, live entertainment and support for the White River Alliance’s conservation efforts. There will also be awards for the top three finishers by boat type, team spirit and participation awards for those who race in all three events.
