White Man Allegedly Uses Racial Slur, Then Shoots Black Man Breaking Up Indiana Brawl

Murder charges have been lodged against a man involved in a drunken altercation with bar patrons, after he fatally shot a Black man who tried to diffuse the situation, immediately following a racial slur. The incident unfolded in Indianapolis, Indiana, on July 17 at Mucky Duck, as reported by 4WTHR. Authorities have charged 21-year-old Kaeden Douglas with the murder of 28-year-old Jereme Dillingham.Witness accounts reveal Douglas initially caused a disturbance by throwing a chair and pushing a patron. Surveillance footage captured Dillingham intervening, which led to a brief reconciliation. However, tensions flared anew when Douglas clashed with bar staff over his tab, prompting Dillingham to step in once more, resulting in Douglas's ejection from the establishment.Before departing, Douglas threatened, “You are all dead men.” Afterward, he could be overheard using a racial slur.
