Chevron to Establish STEM Labs at Two Historically Black Universities

Chevron USA, Inc. has partnered with the Fab Foundation. a non-profit organization dedicated to STEM education, to establish “Chevron Fab Labs” at two historically Black institutions, Fort Valley State University in Georgia and Florida A&M University. The Chevron Fab Labs will provide students and faculty at the two HBCUs with access to the latest technology in STEM education including 3D printers, laser cutters, and electronics workstations. The new resources will allow students, faculty, and local community members to engage in activities such a prototyping, digital design, coding, and robotics. “We are thrilled to expand our partnership with the Fab Foundation to bring Chevron Fab Labs to Fort Valley State University and FAMU,” said Jennifer Michael, social investment manager at Chevron. “These labs will serve as innovation hubs to empower individuals to harness their creative potential, develop essential STEM skills, and contribute to building a more sustainable and inclusive future.
