The eagerly awaited Midwest Black Family Reunion (BFR) is set for a four-day celebration in Cincinnati from August 14 to 17, 2025. This year’s festivities will feature performances by Midnight Star and the renowned gospel artist Fred Hammond, along with a lively parade, a job fair, a college tour, and the distinguished Heritage Breakfast. Sponsored by TriHealth in partnership with the GRO Community, this year's theme is "Everlasting Endurance." The event will commence on August 14 with BFR Speaks, featuring Dr. Bernice King, daughter of the iconic Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Following this, the Heritage Breakfast on August 15 will spotlight keynote speaker Cynthia Booth, CEO of Emerge Manufacturing. On Saturday, August 16, guests will enjoy a parade through Avondale, leading into an urban concert at Sawyer Point. Honoring Dr. Jonathan Brown as Family of the Year, participants can also engage in the city’s largest line dance and various enriching community activities.
