Lalah Hathaway, the Grammy-winning artist celebrated as the “First Daughter of Soul,” graced the stage as the headline act for Jazz on the Trinity, held on May 31 at Panther Island Pavilion in Fort Worth. Among the lively lineup were singer-songwriter Kevin Ross and R&B/pop artist Lindsey Webster.
Expressing her excitement about performing, Webster shared, “I’m so happy to be here... We’ve had many requests on social media to come to Dallas, so I’m thrilled to finally make it.”
Classically trained violinist Richmond Punch, dubbed “The Baddest Violinist Around” by Bishop T.D. Jakes, kicked off the event, showcasing his talent honed at prestigious institutions like Juilliard and Yale. “This is a dream come true,” Punch said, thrilled to connect with live audiences.
Hathaway, fresh off a Houston performance, eagerly anticipated the festival, while attendees savored local culinary delights and enjoyed the newly introduced Cigar Lounge featuring live jazz. The Silver Fox Squad, an inspiring group of distinguished older men, also made their mark discussing life guidance initiatives.
