Michelle Mayo Takes the Helm as Claflin University’s New Provost in South Carolina

Michelle L. Mayo has been appointed provost and vice president for academic affairs at Claflin University in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Previously, she was associate provost at California State University, Monterey Bay, and has significant leadership experience in higher education. Dr. Mayo holds degrees from Truman State University and a Ph.D. from Indiana University.
