Byron D’Andra Orey Takes the Helm as President of the Southern Political Science Association

Byron D'Andra Orey, a political science professor at Jackson State University, has been elected president of the Southern Political Science Association. With a focus on race, biopolitics, and voting, Dr. Orey's academic journey spans three decades. His new book, *Mississippi, Conflict and Change*, will publish in August.
