Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will deliver a speech to a joint session of St. Lucia’s House of Assembly and Senate on Monday, June 30, at 10 a.m., as announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism, Dr. Ernest Hilaire, during Tuesday’s House meeting. The address will be held at the William Jefferson Clinton Ballroom, located at Sandals Grande in Gros Islet. President Tinubu's official state visit to Saint Lucia is scheduled from June 28 to July 4. Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre previously disclosed the visit during a Cabinet press briefing, emphasizing that talks will center on economic development, education, infrastructure, and diplomatic ties, with all heads of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States receiving invitations. Hilaire noted that Tinubu's itinerary includes other official events. He also apologized for expected disruptions due to heightened security and traffic measures, urging the public to extend a warm welcome while remaining patient with the arrangements.
