Calderon stood out, securing victories in 10 out of 12 matches, highlighted by a dominant 4-0 victory against Barbados’ Antonio Hamilton during the Round of 32. His journey ended in the Round of 16 against Cuba's Jorge Campos, a renowned Olympian and two-time champion, where Calderon put up a fierce fight before succumbing 4-2.
