SLHTA and SUNx Forge Pioneering Partnership to Promote Sustainable Travel

On April 22, in celebration of Earth Day 2025, the Saint Lucia Hospitality and Tourism Association (SLHTA) and the SUNx Institute formalized a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to promote a low-carbon, climate-resilient tourism sector. This partnership emphasizes their joint determination in advancing climate-smart tourism. SLHTA members will align with the Climate Friendly Travel (CFT) principles, fostering sustainability. SUNx, a leader in CFT development, supports action in line with the UN's 2030/2050 roadmap. Noteworthy figures, including SLHTA CEO Noorani M. Azeez, highlight the urgency for impactful environmental change.
