St. Sabina and 1-800-TruckWreck Join Forces to Spread Holiday Cheer in Auburn Gresham

Father Michael Pfleger of St. Sabina Church continues to champion Auburn Gresham with a mission rooted in love, justice and action. This historic South Side church is partnering with 1-800-TruckWreck to host a vital community event on Dec. 10 at BJ’s Market & Bakery (1156 West 79th Street, Chicago) to distribute 2,000 meals through St. Sabina’s Operation Blessing.& This event is the first of two that 1-800-TruckWreck is initiating with community partners.& The other is with Chicago Survivors on Dec. 21 to provide over 150 coats and winter essentials to members of the community (see below for more information on both events). “Money is tight for many families, especially during the holiday and winter seasons,” shares Amy Witherite, owner of 1-800-TruckWreck and Witherite Law Group. “A hot meal and warm coat are things many of us take for granted, and our team is doing what we can to help make the season a little brighter this year for our Chicago neighbors.”& For the upcoming event at St. Sabina, the Chicago Defender recently corresponded via...
