In this match, Gros Islet, who finished third in 2024, demonstrated their superiority against a newly promoted rival on a drenched pitch. The opening goal was delivered by Jahlil Evans, whose precise fourth-minute pass allowed the 20-year-old midfielder to slide the ball effortlessly past the South Castries goalkeeper, establishing a 1-0 edge. As a steady rain settled over the first half, Gros Islet earned a second goal from Troy Greenidge, who capitalized on a Sherman Augustin corner kick, enhancing their lead to 2-0 by halftime. Early in the second half, Augustin transitioned from provider to scorer, securing the third goal in the 51st minute.
